Velocity Ministries is focused on creating partnerships with quality, Christ-centered ministries in our city, and to "adopting a community" that we will specifically focus our attention on serving.
When it comes to our community partners, we do not want to create ministry, we want to partner with ministry. It is the goal of Velocity Ministries to provide our partners with financial assistance, visibility, and consistent and continuous volunteers.  Contact: Dustin HughesConnect with Velocity Ministries:  Frazee Dream CenterThe Frazee Dream Center is a free after school and summer program for under resourced children in the downtown Greenville area. The program offers assistance and guidance to children in the areas of academics, character development, sportsmanship and emotional wellness. Their goal is to turn impoverished kids into Jesus followers. When: Tuesday, November 15 from 3:45 pm until 5:00 pmWhat: Velocity volunteers will be assisting in the needs of the Frazee Dream Center through tutoring and building relationships with kids as well as tutoring.Who: Entire families are welcome.Kingdom CultureKingdom Culture is a church that longs to see the people of God live Spirit-led lives every day, doing the things that Jesus did, and worshipping Him in spirit and in truth. They have a heart to disciple and empower people to walk in the gifts God gave them, and to unite the Body of Christ in our city. They have a ministry that meets on Thursday nights called “City Outreach” that focuses on loving and encouraging people through engaging in Spirit-led conversation with them. Their heart is to hear from the Lord, and act upon that hearing by ministering to; praying for and encouraging the people they come in contact with. When: Thursday, November 17 from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pmWhat: Kingdom Culture focuses on loving and encouraging people through engaging in Spirit-led conversation with them. We will meet at Haywood Mall and encourage, minister to, and pray for the people we come in contact with.Who: Adults and entire families are welcome. Children under 18 should be with an adult.
Piedmont Women's CenterWhen: Monday, December 6th – 11:00 am to 1:30 pmWhat: We will be hosting a Christmas party for the volunteers of Piedmont Women's Center here at CrossRoads. We will need volunteers to help set-up, tear down, and serve the workers of Piedmont Women's Center,Who:Adults and entire families are welcome to comeMiracle Hill - Shepherd's GateShepherds Gate is a facility that cares for and provides a safe place for women and their children. They come to Shepherd’s Gate because of abuse, poverty, abandonment, and/or addiction. While here, clients receive food, shelter, spiritual counseling, access to local human service agencies, educational opportunities, and even more importantly – hope through Jesus Christ. Also, because many are mothers, they receive support and instruction as they care for their children. When: Sunday, November 20 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pmWhat: Volunteers will be serving in the clothing closet sorting and organizing clothes.Who: Entire families are welcome.Triune Mercy CenterTriune Mercy Center is a non-denominational mission church to the homeless located near downtown Greenville. It is a place where all God's children meet, with affluent and homeless Christians serving side by side. They provide many forms of emergency assistance -- hot meals, groceries, clothes, blankets, toiletries -- and help in getting people into drug rehab, employment and housing. Most importantly, Triune is a welcoming worship community that reflects the diversity of God’s kingdom. When: Saturday, November 12 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pmWhat: We will be serving in the clothes closet, computer room, and serving the patrons of Triune Mercy Center in any way the staff of Triune needs.Who: Adults and families are welcome (no children under age 4). *Children will need to stay with parents at all times.
Diligent Hands - Gracious HeartsDiligent Hands Gracious Hearts and Central Community Ministries have now merged into 1 ministry known as Diligent Hands Gracious Hearts. It is a nondenominational Christian ministry providing free basic home/lawn maintenance and fellowship to elderly/handicapped citizens in the Greenville area. It is their objective to meet many of the homeownership needs that arise for these individuals with the purpose of sharing God’s love. DHGH provides physical labor to complete jobs and meet needs that the elderly/handicapped can no longer handle themselves. In addition to meeting their immediate needs they will offer more than help. They offer hope. We will serve with Diligent Hands in two ways each month. Diligen Hands Gracious Hearts ConstructionWhen: Saturday, November 19 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pmWhat: Working on a home or inner city facility through a painting/minor construction project in inner city Greenville.Who: Adults and families are welcome to come and bring their middle school aged children and older.
Diligent Hands Gracious Hearts LawncareWhen: Saturday, November 19 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pmWhat: Serving the elderly in Greenville by providing lawn maintenance and fellowship: cutting grass, weed eating, and visiting with the elderly clients.Who: Adults and entire families are welcome to participate:
Boys Home of the SouthThe Boys Home of the South is a non-profit, non-denominational, residential group home that has been caring for boys since 1958. It is dedicated to the care, education, and nurturing of young men ages 6 to 21 years old. When: Tuesday, December 13 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pmWhat: Volunteers from CrossRoads will leading the Tuesday night chapel service, hanging out and building relationships with the boys.Who: Entire families are welcome. All ages are encouraged.

Harvest Hope Food BankDuring Jesus’ ministry, one of the things he often did was feed the hungry. The mission of the Harvest Hope Food Bank is to provide for the needs of hungry people by gathering and sharing quality food with dignity, compassion and education. Harvest Hope Food Bank is a non profit organization with a mission of ending local hunger through shared community involvement. Our heart is partner with Harvest Hope in the distribution of food and the care of the hungry in our city. When: Saturday, October 29 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pmWhat: Volunteers will assist the food bank.Who: Entire families are welcome. All ages are encouraged.Once you sign up, a project coordinator will contact you with additional details and time to meet, etc.
