Future Plans!

The word Calibrate means to adjust, correct, or align with a constant standard. Can we align or calibrate our vision to the heart and vision that God has for us – his people? YES!

Our Elders and Staff are in total harmony and agreement with these ministry initiatives for the future of CRCC.

Our church heart BEATS for our city! We believe God is leading us to establish a NEW church campus in the downtown Greenville area and use this as a venue to launch more city initiatives in the coming years. There is a potential building available which would take about 1.5 million to buy  and renovate. We don’t have all the details on the how and when but we are not unclear about the vision at all!

“Attempt something so great for God that it’s doomed to fail unless God is in it!”Randy Pope  We will begin to pursue all potential leads for donors and financing. We need donors who will be willing to sow into the project to impact our city.

There is a strong possibility that we could partner with “The Channel”, a Christian listening room who is also looking to expand in the downtown Greenville area.

Our Elders and staff have also been hard at work to see our church ministry team work in the best way possible to be efficient and effective… Rich Butler will assume a new role here at CRCC: “Lead Pastor”. Steve will remain here as the “Teaching Pastor”. Both gifts are found in this passage…

"Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully." (Romans 12:4-8)

Rich will be the “visionary architect” of CRCC flying at “30,000 feet” to see the BIG PICTURE of where we are and where we need to go. He will lead the church staff and continue to raise the bar on church lay leaders to work together as a team for the good of the church body.

Steve and Rich will work closely together to dream, plan, and pray for the future ministry and work of CRCC, both here in our Simpsonville location and new “City Church” initiative.
