Prayer Prayer Worship Worship Kingdom Kingdom

Kingdom of God

We value the Kingdom of God more than our local church. The local church is a vital aspect of the Kingdom, however, it is not all encompassing. Less than 2% of Christians feel called to vocational ministry. We believe that God, in His wisdom, has called men and women to engage the culture as born-again citizens who understand the purposes and heart of God. Greenville/Simpsonville has more church buildings than ever before, yet less people attending. David Olsen of the “American Church in Crisis” found that 78% of Greenville and the Upstate is unchurched. This is over 165,000 people not attending the service that we are hosting. The inaugural speech of Jesus that marked the beginning of His ministry is seen in Matthew 4:17, where he stated, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” Jesus was changing the rules and turning the religious social order upside down when He made this statement. He told the Pharisees and His disciples that their mindset had to change from one that was religious to one that was based on citizenship. Jesus is King over our city! Our desire is to see people far from God and those that know Him intimately both to understand the message of the Kingdom.

  • We initiate Quarterly Pastors luncheons where the Church at Greenville comes together to fellowship, prayer and encourage each other. Every denomination under the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus is welcomed.
  • We host a city-wide prayer initiative in the heart of Greenville called The Hinge (hingegreenville.com).
  • We partner with other churches in our city to serve the poor, orphans and widows.
