That’s what this series provides you: 90 min of uninterrupted time each week, listening to one amazing talk, soaking in God’s presence and journaling your response to what you hear from the Lord afterwards. Oh, and it’s highly possible you’ll meet some amazing Jesus-loving ladies during this 90 minute group too!

We will study The Release of the Spirit by Watchman Nee. Books will be available at the first group meeting. We also spend time in prayer and praise each week.

The Girl Crash Is a family style gathering where {the young and not so young} ladies of City Church merge together to encourage, mentor, and develop authentic bonds of sisterhood. We will be meeting on a weekly basis in a cozy setting where we purpose to love, listen and learn from one another.

This group is for anyone who loves to cook, wants to learn more about cooking or just loves to eat! We will prepare a meal together, then sit down and enjoy awesome Christian fellowship with one another! Everyone will leave with a copy of the recipe, a full tummy, and a full spirit. You’ll add some new recipes to your collection and maybe learn a few new techniques in the kitchen – and we won’t even make you do the dishes! We’d like everyone to help out with the cost of the food, but it will be minimal.

Dave is the founder of Straight Shot, an evangelism training ministry. For the better part of 35 years, Dave has been the consummate tent-maker evangelist personally seeing thousands come to Christ. Dave, also a gifted trainer, weaves his 20 years of law enforcement experience, an avid love for hunting, an unquenchable thirst for scriptures and his deep love for his wife and family (including 7 grandchildren) into stories and interactive exercises. Dave’s ministry will not only leave your group sensing they have touched God’s heart for the lost but also he will leave each member of your group with confidence, practical skills and urgency to take God’s message to the lost with a simple straight shot.

Brad and Hal Helms head up our Boy Scout troop here at City Church. Brad says, “Growing up, my father didn't teach me outdoor skills because he never learned them himself. I believe a lot of men are the same way - they have the desire to be in the outdoors but lack basic skills. I'd like to help our men learn some of the skills we teach our Scouts to earn their first three rank advancements. They are things such as knots, compass use and map reading, first aid, camping skills and much more. I'd like to get the group through the skills and then do a campout together. We also hope to do some rock climbing instruction, fly fishing, and archery instruction as well.

This group is for anyone who likes to run and especially those who want to like to run. We’ll be getting you READY to run in the “REEDY RIVER 5K. It will be a fun time in community with a mission in mind.

There will be two groups for men, one group meeting on Tuesday nights and the second group meeting on Thursday nights. The Women’s group will meet on Monday nights. 

Gene says, “For the past 10 years I have been growing in freedom and understanding and I believe NOW I am well underway to be that man God created me to be and have the marriage that God intends all of us to have. During the last ten years as a Christian counselor I have ministered to thousands of men and women and have learned that the root cause of most family problems is that many men and women do not know their true role or understand how to do the job God has called them to do. Many men and women do not understand what it is to be the priest of a home, how to be a godly husband/wife who has a spouse and children who feel loved by them.”

This group is geared towards those who are empty nesters, have college age kids and adult children. Join us as we meet twice a month on Sunday evenings AND live out Acts 2:42 “and they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer”. Our goal is to get to know each other (fellowship), discuss that morning’s message (teaching), share a potluck meal together (breaking of bread) then… share and bear each other’s burden’s (prayer).

We will rediscover the KINGDOM and our identity in it.

This group trains our leaders who head up our local and global Velocity ministry.

We will meet to play games, enjoy social times together and make new friends.
