Children infants through 5th grade come join us the second Wednesday of the summer months June 9th, July 14th and August 11th for story time from 11-11:30 am in the children's wing of CRCC. Bring your lunch and enjoy a picnic inside afterwards. Parents are expected to attend with toddler children and under. Bring your friends!

Park Days

Parents and children through 5th grade are invited to attend summer park days the fourth Wednesday of the summer months June 23rd, July 28th and August 25th from 11am- 12pm for some play time at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. Bring your friends!

Movie Night

Children through 5th grade join us for a special summer movie night on July 23rd at 6:30pm in the Children Ministry wing. We will have a movie for the boys, and one for girls. Popcorn will be served! Bring your friends!

This past Sunday, May 23rd, we had the honor of having Gary Hyppolite at CRCC. Gary runs Bethel Mission Outreach, which has been an integral part of spreading the Kingdom in Haiti. We were able to honor Gary with nearly $64,000 this Sunday to help his ministry build an orphanage, build homes for the homeless, and further the Kingdom. We believe that this past Sunday was the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship with Bethel Mission Outreach.

Every Wednesday evening this May, from 6:30 - 8:30, CRCC will be offering a class called "Tangible Kingdom."
"Do you ever feel like the Kingdom life that the early disciples experienced is more of a mirage than a tangible reality? If you have felt this way, then rest assured that you are not alone. We will take the month of May to explore what it means to experience the Kingdom in a tangible way. Learn to operate with the mind and heart of the King, while experiencing the supernatural lifestyle that He promised. This class will be highly practical and will inspire you to live naturally supernatural in the "every-dayness" of life."
Childcare will be provided for this class, as well as a Kids' Community Group, which will facilitate community for 1st - 5th graders at the same time as "Tangible Kingdom."
We are encouraging everyone to attend this class, so please make room in your schedules to be a part of this wonderful opportunity with the whole church.

We will begin a new series this Sunday called "Demonstrate."
The Gospel of the Kingdom was not just preached by Jesus but also demonstrated. Jesus never preached on healing, the prophetic or signs and wonders. He just did these things while He walked the earth. The interesting thing about what He did, is the fact that He also told His disciples to do the things He had been doing. In this series, we are going to take an in-depth look into the life of Jesus to see what He actually did and what He expects us to be doing. In John 14, Jesus stated 'I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.'

Here is Thad's update:

A little more information on the story of the mute and deaf woman: Thad removed an abcess from a lady's groin. The lady could not hear at all in one ear and could hear very little in the other ear. She was also mute. In order to perform the surgery he had to make her legs go numb with some sort of epidural or blocking medicine. When she awoke from surgery, she started to panic because she could not feel her legs. All the people nearby (our guys included) started to try to comfort her by telling her about Jesus. I believe that Rich asked her to say that Jesus is Lord. She was suddenly able to hear out of both ears and use her voice. She then accepted the Lord as her Savior and burned the voodoo necklace she had been wearing in the fire. The next day she came back with family members and they were all thanking the Christians for what had gone on. I don't believe our guys were there when her family came back so they did not know if the family had also been ministered to.

Thad spent most of today in surgery. He said between surgeries he would try to step into the tent that Rich was ministering in and pray for people. Thad said that 13 people that he knows of accepted the Lord.

Thad also helped a woman deliver her baby in the street outside of their tent along with some doctors that were nearby.

Thad said that a man who had just been hit by a motorcycle came to him with bone hanging out of his leg. He said that many people that need urgent help (such as this man and several women in labor) are coming to their areas because they know that Christians will help them. He said the people there really trust the Christians and many are turning to them as their first source of help.

Here is Rich's Update:

He has made some strategic connections with two individuals. One is a Haitian Pastor who has been a translator for the group. The other individual is a Dominican Pastor who runs an Orphanage in the DR. He is in Haiti helping with the orphans and loving on people. When the earthquake happened, the orphans that he works with asked him to take their food to the children of Haiti. That's the Love of Jesus.

He also talked about the environment and atmosphere of Haiti. It seems that these people have never understood the Love of Father God. They have no identity. The country began with a slave revolt and has never moved from a slave's mentality. When Rich was praying with people in the waiting/healing room, he would say, "Father loves you." After a few times, he said, they would begin to weep with the realization that God the Father really loves them. They feel so cursed and rejected. Just knowing that the Father loves them, regardless of what they've done, set them free. The Power of Identity in Father. There's nothing like it!

Wednesday's update from Ben Daniel:

Ben was really in the groove today. He started moving a lot faster saw 19-20 patients today. Thad assisted him some today. Ben went to the leader of their team and asked if Rich could use his gifts. He shared about Monday night prayer at CRCC and the healing rooms and how we have seen the Lord heal people. And asked if they could open up a healing room. So the waiting room to Ben's make-shift dental office became a healing room. Rich and Thad led people to the Lord. Ben thought there were about 12-15 salvations today. Rich said whole families gave their lives to Christ. They also had opportunity to pray for sickness: 2-3 bad backs were made well...all pain gone, 1 ear opened up, and 1 was partially opened up. They had a translator so that was a huge help. Ben said they would come from the waiting room/healing room still just praising God. So cool! On a sad note, the medical team saw a 3 year old little girl who had to have a leg amputated. As the doctors were examining her they discovered she had been raped repeatedly. So the medical team and the team leader had to tell the mother. So horrible and sad and sick. Everyone was so heavy over this tragedy. The haitians are living in tent villages and some "homes" are just separated by a sheet. The children don't have security or protection. Just a wake up call to pray for them...the helpless, the innocent!

This email was sent to us by David Bailey, the head of security for our team in Haiti:
Maria Christina is awesome to bring so many to Christ here in Haiti! So far there have been 3 babies delivered, 1 baby brought back to life last night, a full blown exorcism led by Rich seen by all of us from CRCC! JESUS IS LORD! Haiti is still Haiti, rubble in the streets. We are tired, hungry, sweaty, and smelly, but God knows I love it this way! Brings back awesome memories of my military time, but this time...I'm being a soldier for God!
You all still need to pray for my patience and to have even MORE compassion! Rich, Ben, and Thad are so awesome! I am so proud to belong to the same church as them. What a blessing! Ben pulled more teeth today than he probably does in a month n the US and Rich was his assistant. Ha!
As the head of our security, all I am armed with here is the Word of God, mace and a knife. Needless to say, the Word is the only weapon God gave us that works in the situations we have encountered so far against the forces of darkness!

Father's Love

The team went to an orphanage yesterday and worked with children. While there, Rich got to share the Father's love with an 8 pound, one year old little girl. She needed an IV, but would not stop screaming for the nurse to find a vein (Rich said that the veins were hard to find, too). So, Rich asked if he could hold her and sing to her. He began to sing, "Daddy thank you, Daddy thank you," in Creole. As he sang over her, she fell asleep and didn't even wake up when the nurse gave her the IV! WOW! God's love is truly amazing!

God's Power!

Last night, our guys asked to pray over a woman that was deaf and mute. Thad had performed abdominal surgery on the girl and prayed for her earlier in the day. She had been deaf and mute from birth. She was totally healed! She was also delivered from an evil spirit. After she was healed and delivered, she excitedly accepted Jesus as LORD! She then sat up (remember, she'd just had surgery a few hours prior) and thanked all the people who had prayed for her!
They are really excited about what the Lord is doing there and through them. Tomorrow, the guys plan to stay together so they can encourage one another.
Please continue to pray for boldness and more opportunities like these.

At Monday Night Prayer tomorrow night, we will be praying specifically for the businesses mountain of our city. We will pray for business owners, entrepreneurs, and those starting businesses. We will also be tackling the issues of debt in businesses and families. We will be praying for God's blessing over your family's finances, as well as, business commerce in your family and the city.
Don't forget that the healing rooms are always available to pray for ANYONE that is suffering with a sickness of any sort!

This week we will start a new series called "Velocity." Below is the description of the series:
"Velocity - the speed at which you travel in a certain direction... this word really captures where we are as a church and where we're heading in the future. During this series we'll be addressing what we must believe and do as a church family if we are to move in the direction that we believe God is leading us to go. This will require a deeper level of discipleship than ever before - more spiritual disciplines and formation of your Christian life.
It will mean understanding what it REALLY means to be a "steward" of all that God gives us. We'll also be doing a book study on an old testament prophet named "Jonah" - He had great velocity, but was running in the WRONG direction, until God changed his velocity! Are you ready to roll with us? Let's Go!!!"

Starting this Sunday, September 6th, we are combining our two services in to one big service at 10:00 am.
We will have Soaking time from 9:30 - 10:00 am. During this time there will be soaking music, as well as prayer and ministry available to anyone that needs it.
From 10:00 to 11:30 am will be our normal service.
Then, after the service, we will have more prayer and ministry time for as long as is necessary. If you would like to learn more about the new vision of CRCC, please download and listen to the Vision Night Audio. It is also available on our podcast.

We are hosting a School of Marriage during our Fall Group Season starting this Sunday, August 22nd. We feel like the Lord wants us to really invest in our marriages during this season, and so we are not offering as many classes as we usually do. Gene Wagstaff from Word of God Counseling will be teaching the course. Gene's ministry is incredible. Most of the CrossRoads staff has been to see Gene.
The best part about all of this is that it is absolutely FREE! So please sign-up and plan on attending. We have almost 200 people signed up already.

Moses also said, “Show me Your glory!” We’ll discover what this is and why we need it.
If you’re perfectly content to live your life based on your own talents and abilities, you’ll never know the fullness of living in the Presence of God and certainly never comprehend understanding His Glory. On the other hand, are you desperate for HIM? Are you sensing a restlessness in your heart and spirit that there really is “something more?”

What: We are asking members of churches in our city who would like to participate to join in a 21-day fast from sundown August 7th to sundown August 28th. This is a fast that is leading up to our all day intercession event known as “The Hinge” on August 29th. Many will engage in the “Daniel Fast” during this time. however, we encourage you to ask the Lord, and then participate in the manner in which He leads.
Purpose: We believe that as we cry out to Him, the Lord is shifting the culture in our city. With the Hinge approaching at the end of August, we want to fast to prepare our hearts for that day, and for the coming move of the Lord in our city.
Prayer Focus:
  1. Prayer for Personal Renewal – Pray and ask the Lord to minister to you personally, to strengthen and sustain you, and to help you focus upon His heart and purposes.
  2. Prayer for Churches – Pray for the churches in our city! Pray specifically for the pastors and staff of our city. Pray for the financial situation of churches and that their debts would be supernaturally relieved. Pray for unity and great harvest to come through our churches.
  3. Prayer for Our City – Pray for Revival for Greenville, SC. Pray that God’s Kingdom would come and His will would be done in EVERY sphere of influence in our city. Pray for His Glory to shine brightly in our city for all the nations to see!!

Two families from CRCC have opened a clothing resale boutique on Woodruff Road. The idea is similar to that of Plato's Closet, except with nicer clothes, and their store is beautiful. They have all kinds of designer and brand name clothes at very low prices. You will be able to sell your old clothes, and get awesome clothes for very cheap.
Glam's grand opening is this Saturday, August 1st, but I hear that they are having a Preview Party from 5 pm - 10 pm on Friday night. Please come out and support this awesome new business. You will undoubtedly see many familiar CrossRoads faces working behind the counter, and many more buying clothes.

The staff at Wayfarer has always been very involved at CRCC. Dave Rhodes, Chad Norris, and Chris Brooks have all spoken at CrossRoads in the past. Blake Berg, who does all the artwork for Wayfarer, plays regularly in the band at CrossRoads. David Reichley and his family also attend regularly. Our youth group attended the first ever Wayfarer Camp a few weeks ago.

Our students are participating in Kingdom Culture this week. Kingdom Culture is a serve initiative that encourages churches to unite and work together in order to serve our city, display the love of Christ, share His gospel, and advance His Kingdom. Their heart is to see our city, Greenville, transformed for the sake of Christ. Their driving force is the call for "His Kingdom to come and His Will to be done on earth as it is in heaven".
Please pray for our students, Pastor Dustin Hughes, and all of the team leaders and helpers this week that they will be successful on their mission.
