Registration & Check-In

In an effort to ensure the safety of your child and his/her well-being during classroom time, we require all children to be registered in our KidCheck system prior to entering the classroom.

You can register online or complete registration in the Kingdom Kids lobby upon arrival. Registration information includes child profile info, parental contact information & any food allergies that we need to be aware of (which will be highlighted on printed nametag).

Registration is a one-time procedure. Once registration is complete, you’ll only need to stop by one of our convenient check-in stations located in the Kingdom Kids lobby to check-in your child(ren) each week. Our KidCheck system will print a nametag for each of your children and one for each registered guardian. A four-digit number will be generated for your family and printed on each of your nametags. It is our goal to honor and respect your time in the worship room during our Encounter service, but should your child need parental assistance, the four-digit number will appear on the left side of the stage so that you can step out and come to the Kingdom Kids area to speak with a team member.

The Guardian Receipt will also serve as your identification and is required for pick up of each child after the service.

Kingdom Kids

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. – Matthew 18:3-5 (NIV)

The children at Crossroads Community Church are special and important. We believe our infants to 5th graders are just as important to the kingdom of God as adults. So we begin teaching our children at a young age that they carry the kingdom with them, which makes them “Kingdom Kids.”

Kingdom Kids is a place where a child’s history is created. Memories of influential small group leaders, fun outreach activities, special programs, and times of worship, all work together to create a foundation for how these children, once adults, will relate to their Heavenly Father and His kingdom. Our desire is to co-labor with parents during these pivotal years, nurturing and developing in their children a heart that understands and experiences the love of God.

The Kingdom Kids children’s ministry is divided into 3 main age groups:

  • Infants-2 year olds
  • K3-K5
  • 1st-5th grade

Infants-2 year olds

Our greatest goal for these young Kingdom Kids is to provide a safe and loving environment while their parents are participating in the Encounter service. Our team members are committed to making your child feel secure in your absence with intentional playtime, lots of hugs, dancing and sing-alongs.

  • Please label all sippy cups or snack bowls/bags with your child’s name prior to drop-off.
  • Nursing Mothers Room: At the end of the nursery hallway, there is a small room available for mothers who need to nurse during the Encounter service. Please see a team member should you need direction.
  • Diaper changes and potty breaks occur as needed with one final check/change prior to parental pick up. For those children who are potty-training, please inform your team member so they can be mindful of extra potty times with your little one.

K3-K5

Our mission for the K3-K5 age group is to introduce who Jesus is so that when they become ready to make a decision for salvation, they are able to connect the person of Jesus to God’s Son, the Savior of the world.

Each age group is separated into its own classroom with allotted time for free play, story-telling and craft time each week. Our K4 & K5 classes have the additional privilege of joining the 1st-5th graders in the Next Generation Auditorium (located on the opposite side of the Kingdom Kids lobby) in a time of praise and worship, returning back to their classrooms afterwards.

All K3-K5 Kingdom Kids enjoy Bible study curriculum that has been tailored in-house just for them. Our basic text is The Jesus Storybook Bible.

1st-5th grade

For our Kingdom Kids who are in 1 st -5 th grade, our heart’s desire is to teach them how to lead a life that is Spirit-filled and God-honoring by taking Scripture and Biblical principals they may already know & illustrating its relevance for everyday life. This group gathers together in the Next Generation Auditorium (located in the children’s wing) and enjoys large group teaching time and small groups based on grade level and gender. Often times games or crafts are incorporated to support the lesson taught. They also engage in a time of praise and worship with their peers and leaders.

The Bible study curriculum for this age group varies. Sometimes, the 1 st -5 th grade curriculum will mirror what parents are hearing in the Encounter Service, while other times, the curriculum reflects a particular season or current event. Regardless, all teachings serve the same purpose: God’s Word is for today and His love is forever.

In an effort to have minimal germ exposure risk and fewer illnesses for our children, please keep your child with you if he or she has exhibited any of the following in the last 24 hours: coughing, sneezing, runny nose, diarrhea, vomiting, fever and/or rash. (Crossroads Community Church’s complete Wellness Policy is available on request).
